Bill Stoneman ready to get back in saddle as Angels GM - but only for rest of season

New interim Angels GM Bill Stoneman, here before a playoff game in 2008, says he'll have plenty of help from the team's baseball operations department. 'It's a full-time job, day and night, but at the same time, there are a lot of guys who are going to help out and get it done,' he said.

Bill Stoneman is going into his job as the Angels' interim general manager with a firm idea of what it isn’t.

Namely, that it isn’t going to last long.

“It’s not going to be 365 days a year,” Stoneman said Friday.
