2019 was no different for the Angels as Mike Trout won his seventh Silver Slugger Award for best hitting outfielder, and Andrelton Simmons won the Wilson Defensive Player of the Year Award at shortstop for the sixth time in seven seasons.
In 2015 Kole Calhoun won a Gold Glove, and Andrelton Simmons has won Gold Gloves in 2017 and 2018. Mike Trout also won the MMVP in 2016 and Shohei Ohtani won the AL Rookie of the Year Award in 2018.
The question now turns to the AL MVP race as Trout is in line to possibly win his third AL MVP award this season.
