The Angels already got a taste of the A’s in the season’s opening weekend, losing three of four games in Oakland. The Angels are slumping but now return home, beginning a series Monday night against the team that has yet to lose this month.
After scoring only six runs in three games while getting swept by the Rangers in Texas, the Angels now have to face a team in Oakland that has allowed two or fewer runs in seven of their last nine games.
Oakland is 9-0 in August, outscoring their opponents 47-19 this month.
