As expected, the Angels on Tuesday officially promoted Dave Hansen to hitting coach, replacing Don Baylor.
Hansen served as the assistant hitting coach under Baylor for the last two seasons, including taking over Baylor's duties while he was out with a broken leg for half of the 2014 season.
The Angels declined to extend Baylor's contract last month, instead offering him a position elsewhere in the organization.
Paul Sorrento, who was officially the roving minor league hitting instructor but spent most of his time working with the big league team, was promoted to assistant hitting coach.
