Angels offense goes quiet again, split series with Mariners

The Angels scored 16 runs in only eight innings on Saturday night. Since then, they’ve scored two runs in 19 innings. That’s what makes baseball such a crazy sport. After their best offensive game of the year, the Angels bats have gone ice cold over their last two games as they fell to the Mariners on Monday afternoon, 2-1.

For the afternoon, the Angels only had four hits. Their lone run of the game came in the second inning on a Justin Upton solo homer.

They had a perfect chance to tie the game or even win it in the ninth, as they had back-to-back singles to begin the inning.
