Angels add reliever Al Albuquerque

The Angels added an experienced bullpen arm on Friday morning by agreeing to terms with right-hander Al Alburquerque. The deal is pending a physical.

Alburquerque, 29, has a career 3.20 ERA in five seasons with the Detroit Tigers, who non-tendered him earlier this winter. The Angels will have Alburquerque under control for two seasons.

Alburquerque figures to go into the bullpen setup mix primarily with Fernando Salas and Mike Morin, who will all be jockeying to fill the seventh-inning role that opened when Trevor Gott was dealt to the Washington Nationals.
