Angels activate Street, recall lefty Jones

Street threw 20 pitches in an extended spring game on Saturday in his final rehab assignment.

Joe Smith, the team's primary setup man, took over closer duties in Street's stead. In that stretch, Smith has earned six saves and blown one, finishing 11 of the 13 games he's appeared since Street went on the DL. In that span, Smith allowed seven earned runs on 10 hits and eight walks over 13 1/3 innings.

Also on Monday, the Angels recalled left-handed starter Chris Jones, who is 3-4 with a 6.32 ERA in nine starts for Triple-A Salt Lake.
