Coming into last night’s game, it had been a struggle for Andrew Heaney in 2020. He got off to a decent start, but things were disastrous over his last three outings. Over the course of his last three starts, Heaney threw only 14 innings while allowing 14 runs and 19 hits.
He sure bounced back nicely last night. He picked up his first win since August 4, as he gave the Angels 7 2⁄3 innings of one-run ball.
“He filled up the strike zone,” Joe Maddon said to the media postgame.
