'You think you've seen it all in 2020!': BBC pundit Garth Crooks ridiculed by fans for claiming Joel Matip 'survived one or two scary moments' against Tottenham despite not even PLAYING in the game as he picks Liverpool defender in his team of the week

Liverpool defender Joel Matip was included in BBC pundit Garth Crooks' Premier League team of the week but fans were quick to point out an error in his reasoning.

The former Tottenham and Stoke forward alluded to the fact that Matip played against Tottenham last Wednesday, writing: 'He survived one or two scary moments.'

The Reds centre half did not feature against Jose Mourinho's side last week, he was not named in the squad, with Rhys Williams making his Premier League debut alongside Fabinho in the backline.
