'You never know what crosses your path': Former Manchester United target Jurrien Timber hints at possible Ajax summer exit after rejecting a move to Old Trafford last year... with the Dutch club enduring a miserable season

Ajax defender Jurrien Timber has hinted at the possibility of a summer transfer away from the Dutch club after he turned down a Manchester United move last season.

The Dutch international, who won the Eredivisie under United coach Erik ten Hag in 2021 and 2022, looked set to follow his manager to Old Trafford but rejected the chance to sign for the club.

Then Ajax team-mates Lisandro Martinez and Antony did make the switch to United, joining for £55million and £85.5m, respectively.

In an interview with Ajax Life, academy star Timber, 21, teased the possibility of a move away from Amsterdam for the first time since his decision to stay last year.
