Wolves hope club record signing Matheus Nunes will be available in time for their weekend trip to Tottenham - after Bruno Lage's side agreed a £38million deal for the Sporting Lisbon midfielder

Wolves hope to register club record signing Matheus Nunes in time for their away trip to Spurs on Saturday.

The midfielder rejected a move to West Ham last week as he has been holding out for a Champions League club but is being persuaded by Bruno Lage to join Wolves this summer.

Liverpool and Manchester City were also monitoring Nunes, who has made a major impact for Sporting, but it's Lage's side who look to land the 23-year-old.
