Union Berlin keen on loaning Liverpool flop Loris Karius... but the Reds are determined to see the keeper leave on a permanent deal this summer

Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius is wanted on loan by Bundesliga side Union Berlin.

The 27-year old, who joined Liverpool for £4.75million from Mainz in 2016, is no longer required at Anfield and spent last season on loan at Besiktas.

The former Germany U21 international struggled to establish himself at Liverpool after a series of error strewn performances, notably in the 2018 Champions League Cup final against Real Madrid when he was at fault for two of Madrid’s goals in a 3-1 defeat.
