UEFA are lining up a stadium ban after 'unacceptably violent' clashes with West Midlands police ahead of their game with Aston Villa... as they reveal they are investigating the trouble

Legia Warsaw are expected to be hit by a stadium ban by UEFA after Aston Villa launched an official complaint over the violence that blighted their Europa Conference League meeting on Thursday.

On Friday, 46 people were in custody after what Villa said were ‘planned and systemic violent acts’ against West Midlands Police.

Legia fans were blocked from entering the away end for their 2-1 defeat at Villa Park, but gathered outside and threw missiles over the walls of the ground and into the home end.

UEFA are now investigating and a spokesman said: ‘UEFA strongly condemns the unacceptable violence which occurred.
