Trent Alexander–Arnold set to undergo injury tests after missing Club World Cup semi–final defeat to PSG – with Real Madrid team–mate facing weeks out

Trent Alexander–Arnold is set to undergo tests to determine the severity of an injury he suffered in training.

The Real Madrid right–back has been dealing with muscular pain in his right leg which he picked up on Tuesday before their clash with Paris Saint–Germain.

The injury kept him out the Club World Cup semi–final in New Jersey which saw the Spanish giants thrashed 4–0 by Luis Enrique's side.

He had played in all five of Madrid's Club World Cup previous matches after his move from Liverpool at the start of June.
