Cagliari are reportedly considering a swoop for former Liverpool, Chelsea and Portugal midfielder Raul Meireles.
According to Tuttosport, Cagliari are looking at free agents to complete their squad, given unattached players are exempt from transfer restrictions.
Subsequently, their search has taken them to Meireles, who has been out of football since leaving Fenerbahce last summer.
The 34-year-old made almost 200 appearances for Porto and is also well known for his spell in England with Liverpool and Chelsea, with whom he won the Champions League in 2012.
