THE NOTEBOOK: Levi Colwill's club decision will be vital to international future, Trent Alexander-Arnold looked at home wearing the No.10 and Callum Wilson's unlikely friendship with Malta's Notts County star

England made it three wins from three in their Euro 2024 qualifying Group with a comfortable 4-0 victory away at Malta on Friday evening.

Gareth Southgate made the decision to start Trent Alexander-Arnold in midfielder - wearing the number ten shirt - and it was a call that paid off, with the Liverpool man starring in a man of the match display.

It was his pass that led to England's opener, as he found Bukayo Saka and his cross was deflected into his own net by Ferdinando Apap. Alexander-Arnold added a second with a sweet strike from the edge of the box, before a Harry Kane penalty put the Three Lions three up at the break.
