'The boy became a man' - Klopp on Alexander-Arnold's PL century

Trent Alexander-Arnold is in line to make his 100th Premier League appearance for Liverpool on Saturday - and Jürgen Klopp has detailed his pride in the progress made by his No.66.

Should Alexander-Arnold feature against West Ham United at Anfield, he will become the club’s fifth-youngest player to reach the three-figure landmark, following Michael Owen, Robbie Fowler, Jamie Redknapp and Steven Gerrard.

Still just 22 years of age, the Scouser has achieved plenty both collectively and individually since his top-flight debut in December 2016, and Klopp believes there is still more to come.

“Great number. Interesting journey, came in with a super basis as a player, as a person, and used it to make big, big development steps,” the boss said.
