Steven Gerrard named new Rangers boss: Five Liverpool youngsters he could take with him

Steven Gerrard will throw himself in at the deep end when he undertakes his first managerial role as Rangers boss.

It's a pretty big leap from coaching Liverpool's U18s and the 37-year-old has a massive job on his hands.

Despite being the most decorated club in Scottish football history, the Gers haven't won the title since 2011 and Gerrard's former boss Brendan Rodgers is unbeaten in the Old Firm derby during his time as Celtic manager.

Green and white dominance in Scotland looks unbreakable, but could Gerrard bring some of his young talent from Merseyside to spark a Rangers renaissance?
