The 21-year-old defender will play his 50th Reds match if selected at Stadio San Paolo in Italy.
It will be Gomez's 10th game in Europe for the club and he is yet to taste defeat in continental competition.
The youngster made his European debut against Bordeaux in 2015 and most recently helped Liverpool beat Paris Saint-Germain 3-2 at Anfield in this season's Champions League opener.
