FC Sion have opened negotiations to sign Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli, the Swiss club's president Christian Constantin has claimed.
Balotelli, 26, is not in Jurgen Klopp's plans at Anfield and has been linked with an exit before the transfer window closes next week.
Besiktas, Sassuolo, Bologna and Nantes have all been touted as possible destinations for the Italian, and Constantin has now claimed Sion are negotiating with Liverpool over a move.
"I can confirm that we are talking and negotiations are underway" he told ticinonews.ch. "Obviously I cannot know whether it will have a positive conclusion or not.
