Sadio Mane fined more than £250,000 - the highest in Bayern Munich's history - from his £17m-a-year wages for punching team-mate Leroy Sane in furious dressing room row after defeat at Man City

Sadio Mane has been fined more than £250,000 by Bayern Munich for punching his team-mate Leroy Sane in the face last week.

The former Premier League pair argued on the pitch during the 3-0 Champions League defeat by Manchester City, and came to blows as they entered the Etihad Stadium tunnel.

Former City man Sane was left with a bloodied lip by the altercation and ex-Liverpool winger Mane has been hit with a fine that is believed to be the largest in Bayern history.

Mane was dropped for Saturday's draw against Hoffenheim but will return to the squad for Wednesday's second leg against City.
