S Club were forced to cancel their scheduled gig in Liverpool on Friday night, at the very last minute, leaving fans devastated.
And on Saturday, Jon Lee, 41, revealed why the show at the M&S Bank Arena was axed with just two hours notice, as the pop group arrived in Sheffield for their Saturday tour date.
Taking to his Instagram Stories late on Friday night, the singer explained: 'There was a fire in the building which knocked out some of the electrics, which meant it was completely unsafe for us to allow an audience into the arena
'It was not our decision.
