Former Liverpool and Leeds striker striker Robbie Fowler is reportedly considering applying for the manager vacancy at Tranmere Rovers.

The League Two club are on the hunt for a new manager after parting ways with Micky Mellon last month following a prolonged run of poor results.

The club currently sit 11th, having failed in their play-off aspirations and will head into next season under new management in a bid to gain promotion from the fourth tier of English football.

Fowler, who has had stints in India and Australia is keen to manage in England and could put himself in the running for the Tranmere job according to The Sun.
