Jon Rahm hailed his best round on a links course as he set his sights on becoming the man who hunts down ‘The Hunter’.
Brian Harman, whose hobby is hunting in the wilds of North America, leads the 151st Open Championship after three rounds. He has a commanding lead but he will face a relentless opponent today in the shape of Rahm, who shot a magnificent bogey-free 63.
The current US Masters champion had a run of seven birdies in 10 holes to leap from joint 48th place to one of Harman’s closest pursuers. It was the lowest score posted in an Open at Royal Liverpool and moved him to six-under.
