UEFA's statement blaming 'late' Liverpool fans for the delay to the Champions League final was reportedly prepared days before the game.

The final in Paris descended into chaos with thousands of Liverpool supporters were held outside the Stade de France.

The Guardian has now reported that the statement, put up on the big screen inside the stadium which announced the delay due to 'late' supporters, had already been prepared in the week up to the final.
