Weir's opening strike on 10 minutes was something special. Picking the ball up 30-yards from goal, she turned the defender before firing an unstoppable effort beyond Anke Preuss and into the back of the net.
At the other end the away side almost got back on level terms when a mistake let in Beverley Leon but she was denied by a great save from Siobhan Chamberlain.
Preuss then produced an oustanding double stop to keep out Alex Greenwood and Jess Clarke, but the stopper was powerless to keep out the second goal on 21 minutes.
