Report: LFC Women suffer Arsenal loss in five-goal thriller

Liverpool FC Women fell to a 3-2 defeat at the hands of reigning Women’s Super League champions Arsenal at Chester FC's Deva Stadium on Thursday night.

Vicky Jepson’s side gave a really good account of themselves and were somewhat unfortunate not to take a point from the game that their overall play certainly merited.

For the Gunners it was a vital win for them in the title race with Manchester City and Chelsea as they returned to winning ways.

Dutch international forward Vivianne Miedema, one of the most prolific strikers in women’s football, was their main threat netting twice.
