Real Madrid's dressing room 'view Liverpool and Manchester City as tougher opponents than Chelsea - with Carlo Ancelotti's men wanting revenge' for defeat in last season's Champions League semi-final

Real Madrid 'are motivated by revenge' ahead of their Champions League quarter-final against Chelsea with 'several in the dressing room believing them to be an easier draw than Liverpool or Manchester City'.

The two clubs met in the semi-finals of the competition last season with eventual winners Chelsea prevailing 3-1 on aggregate.

But apparently there is a feeling at the Bernabeu this time will see a different outcome, with the LaLiga leaders advancing to the next knockout round.

The Athletic report that the mood within the Real dressing room is very much that being drawn against one of the current Premier League top two would have been far tougher than Chelsea.
