Real Madrid suffer a double blow as David Alaba faces a month out after suffering a hamstring injury in Champions League win over Liverpool... with Rodrygo also ruled out for 10 days due to a leg injury

Real Madrid have been dealt with a double blow after David Alaba and Rodrygo both suffered injuries during the win over Liverpool.

Alaba, 30, was forced off 27 minutes into the 5-2 Champions League last-16 first-leg victory at Anfield due to a hamstring injury and had to be replaced by Nacho.

The Austria international has all but been ruled out of Real's clash with Atletico in the Madrid derby at Bernabeu on Saturday.

Alaba is also facing a race against time to be fit for the return leg against Jurgen Klopp's side on March 15.
