Oxlade-Chamberlain eager to impress at every opportunity

The No.21 came off the bench with just over half an hour to go in Slovenia on Tuesday night and netted the sixth goal of the Reds’ comprehensive 7-0 victory - the biggest European away success in their history.

Jürgen Klopp praised Oxlade-Chamberlain’s impact after he was introduced as a substitute in the 0-0 draw with Manchester United at the weekend, and the England international was pleased to make another positive impression at Ljudski vrt.

“It’s a competitive team that I’ve come in to. We’re in an important part of the season where we want to get off to a good start and we’ve got a few results that haven’t gone our way,” Oxlade-Chamberlain told BT Sport.
