Omar Richards is to join Nottingham Forest for £10m only a year after leaving Reading for Bayern Munich as Steve Cooper's pre-Premier League spending spree edges towards £50m

Omar Richards is set to complete his £10million move to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

The Bayern Munich defender, who moved to Germany from Reading only a year ago, is due to have a medical on Friday afternoon before finalising the details of the transfer.

Forest also hope to seal a £17m deal for Liverpool full-back Neco Williams, which would take the promoted club’s summer spending to the £60m mark.

One of boss Steve Cooper’s priorities was to fill the wing-back roles in his preferred 3-4-3 system, with Djed Spence - who was a huge success on loan from Middlesbrough during the second half of last season - likely to sign for Tottenham.
