Mignolet supports Motor Neurone Disease Association

Mignolet’s uncle lives with MND, which is a rapidly-progressing disease that affects the brain and spinal cord, and the Liverpool goalkeeper does as much as he can to help raise awareness.

Last week, he visited Aintree Hospital and The Walton Centre – an internationally recognised centre for MND research – and toured both sites before meeting staff, patients and their families.

Mignolet said: “I’m a big supporter of ALS Liga, a Belgian MND charity, so it was really interesting to see the work done by their equivalent, the Motor Neurone Disease Association, in this country. I hope my visit helped by raising greater awareness.
