The German giants will bring a squad of greats to Merseyside for a special fixture on Saturday March 24 that will raise funds for the Liverpool FC Foundation and the Bundesliga club’s charity, FC Bayern Hilfe e.V.
Familiar names including Hans-Jörg Butt, Lothar Matthäus, Bixente Lizarazu, Sammy Kuffour, Zé Roberto, Giovane Elber, Luca Toni and Roy Makaay are set to feature in the game, Bayern confirmed on Thursday.
They will line up against a Reds team able to call on the services of heroes such as Jamie Carragher, Robbie Fowler, Luis Garcia, Steven Gerrard, Dirk Kuyt and many more.
