Match report: Liverpool U23s suffer narrow loss at Brighton

Liverpool U23s suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat away at Brighton and Hove Albion in Premier League 2 on Saturday afternoon.

A tight game was settled by a wonder-strike from Brighton’s Reda Khadra four minutes into the second half at the AMEX Elite Performance Centre.

With Leighton Clarkson beginning a three-match suspension, Tom Clayton played the holding midfield role, with Rhys Williams partnering Sepp van den Berg at the heart of the defence.

Liam Millar was a constant menace to the Brighton defence with his strong runs down the left flank, especially in the opening 45 minutes.
