Marcos Llorente was almost forgotten in the aftermath of Atletico Madrid's win over Liverpool back in March. The focus soon switched to the two coaches, and so the man who came on and scored two and made one to dump Liverpool out was overlooked.
Diego Simeone certainly didn't see his role as having been incidental.
'You thought the Llorente for [Diego] Costa change was a defensive one - it wasn't,' he said in one post-match interview.
Llorente's reliable shot and his final pass had been unleashed on a stretched Liverpool defence to brutal effect, albeit with some extra help from Adrian.
