Marcelo Bielsa asks FA for guidance as to why it upheld Pascal Struijk's red card despite injured Liverpool star Harvey Elliott insisting the Leeds man should NOT have been sent off

Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa has called on the Football Association for guidance on why it upheld Pascal Struijk's dismissal in last Sunday's home defeat by Liverpool.

Struijk was shown a straight red card for his challenge on Harvey Elliott, which left the Liverpool teenager with a fracture dislocation of his left ankle.

Leeds lost their appeal against Struijk's three-game ban, while many observers, including Elliott himself, felt the defender's tackle did not warrant a red card and that the injury had been a freak occurrence.
