Manchester City secure 4-1 win over Brighton but boss Gareth Taylor 'frustrated' with win despite moving level on points with title holders Chelsea in WSL

Manchester City kept the heat on leaders Chelsea with a thumping 4-1 victory at Brighton yesterday.

Since City last played in the league, they had been eliminated from the League Cup by Chelsea and the FA Cup on penalties by Tottenham.

But Gareth Taylor’s side bounced back with Lauren Hemp, Mary Fowler, Khadija Shaw and Laura Coombs finding the net.

Former City player Lee Geum-min pulled one back for Brighton in stoppage time — much to Taylor’s annoyance, with City trailing Chelsea on goal difference.
