Pep Guardiola has warned Liverpool that Sergio Aguero is ready to lead Manchester City’s attack in their New Year’s Eve clash at Anfield.
City’s top scorer has missed the last four games through suspension following red card against Chelsea, and has spent Christmas at home in Argentina.
But Guardiola insists that Aguero is in shape to face Jurgen Klopp’s side in the much-anticipated battle between second and third in the Premier League as City look for only their second win at Anfield in 35 years.
The Argentina striker was also banned for three games in September, but Guardiola said: ‘He is ready.
