Liverpool were desperate for a win over their bitter rivals as they hunt for their 20th league title, but they couldn't manage it.
The Reds only have themselves to blame though, after Luis Diaz put them a goal to the good, they should have put the game to bed.
They didn't and Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo nearly made them pay the full price of three points, but Mo Salah saved their blushes from the spot.
This title race has been phenomenal and it is far from done.
