Loris Karius is keen to see out the final year of his Liverpool contract away from Anfield, with the goalkeeper hopeful of staying at Union Berlin for another season.

Karius has not played a competitive game for the Reds since his disastrous performance in the 2018 Champions League final in which he was culpable for two of Real Madrid's three goals.

With Alisson, Adrian and Caoimhin Kelleher ahead of him in the pecking order, the shot-stopper accepted a season-long loan with Union Berlin for 2020-21 campaign.

Despite finding first-team opportunities limited due to the form of No 1 Andreas Luthe, Karius would be open to staying on with the Bundesliga side for the final year of his Liverpool contract.
