Liverpool's Lucas Leiva pays tribute to Chapecoense plane victims and admits: 'It was very hard for me to play'

Liverpool's stand-in captain Lucas Leiva has admitted he found it hard to play on Tuesday night after the plane crash which saw Chapecoense's players and management team killed in a shocking tragedy.

The Brazilian international captained his side to a 2-0 win over Leeds at Anfield to reach the semi-finals of the EFL Cup.

A minute's silence was held before kick-off to commemorate the 71 people who lost their lives in the accident in Colombia.
