Liverpool's Champions League quarter-final clash with Atletico Madrid will be the focus of an inquiry by the city council amid concerns it could have led to a high number of coronavirus infections in the area.

The game, held on March 11, was attended by 52,000 supporters and within 10 days the UK government had banned sporting events in a bid to stop the spread of the virus.
