Trent Alexander-Arnold was greeted by a crescendo of boos upon his return to boyhood club Liverpool as a Real Madrid player, coming off the bench.
The volume in the crowd rose with Alexander-Arnold entering a red hot atmosphere at his old stomping ground as his new side trailed 1-0 to an Alexis Mac Allister header - which is how the game finished.
After the boos, the home fans, some of which were said on commentary to have stood and applauded the former Liverpool right-back, aimed pointed chants in his direction.
First, club legend Steven Gerrard had his chant sung, before Conor Bradley, the man who started in Alexander-Arnold's old spot and had an excellent game, was also serenaded.
