Liverpool will receive a £17.5m boost if Philippe Coutinho plays just 24 times next season with Barcelona ready to recall loan star and give him another opportunity to shine at the Nou Camp

Barcelona want to bring back their loaned players this summer to help them with their looming financial crisis but Philippe Coutinho is among them, and if he plays another season for the Catalan side, Liverpool will be 20m (£17.5m) euros richer.

The deal that took the Brazilian forward to Spain from Anfield was for an initial fee of 120m euros (£105m) but among the add-ons was a payment of a further 20m (£17.5m) once Coutinho had played 100 games for his new club. He is currently on 76 and if he returns and plays Barca will owe Liverpool more money.
