A strong Liverpool U23s line-up proved too much for United at Leigh Sports Village. A classy finish from Ovie Ejaria after brilliant approach play from Ben Woodburn edged the Reds in front and, although James Wilson equalised, Neil Critchley’s side showed their quality to run out winners.
