Liverpool Transfer News: Reds Given Fresh Max Meyer Hope in Latest Rumours

Liverpool have been given fresh hope over a move for Max Meyer after Schalke sporting director Christian Heidel said he expects the midfielder to leave in the summer.

Both Liverpool and Arsenal are keen on the 22-year-old whose contract expires at the end of the season, and Heidel said the midfielder does not want to discuss a new deal, per Charles Watts at Football.London.

"At the moment we can and must expect that Max leaves the club in the summer. Everything suggests that," said Heidel. "At the moment there is no offer from us and no wish from Max to have a conversation again.
