Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge misses first full day in La Manga having been struck down by virus

Daniel Sturridge was forced to sit out Liverpool's first full day of warm weather training in La Manga having been struck down with a virus.

The Reds striker remained at the team hotel on Thursday after medical staff decided it was best he didn't train.

Jurgen Klopp's men have travelled to the south-east of Spain with no FA Cup action or European football to occupy them ahead of their next Premier League clash against Leicester on Monday February 27.
