Liverpool star Sadio Mane forced to walk with crutches after undergoing surgery on season-ending ankle injury

Liverpool winger Sadio Mane has undergone surgery on the knee injury that is set to rule him out for the rest of the season.

Mane suffered meniscus damage in his left knee after colliding with Leighton Baines during Liverpool's 3-1 win over Everton in the Merseyside derby earlier this month.

The 25-year-old Senegal international travelled to London on Tuesday to undergo surgery and was seen leaving a private hospital on crutches later in the afternoon.
