There was a touching tribute to the late Diogo Jota and his brother Andre prior to Liverpool's pre-season friendly in Japan.
The stadium in Yokohama lit up in red and white, with floodlights turned down while the 72,000 sell-out of fans shone phone torches.
It made for a moving display and it was charged with emotion for the club still grieving the loss of the Portuguese forward.
Club legend and top scorer in Liverpool history, Ian Rush, paid his part in the pre-game tributes.
He made his way out onto the turf against the backdrop of the lights from the crowd and laid a wreath of flowers on the pitch.
