Liverpool have been sounded out about a move for Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa. They want a midfielder of physical presence who won't cut across the arrival of Jude Bellingham next summer.
Luiz's current deal at Villa Park is set to expire next summer but the 24-year-old could be set for an early exit after picking up interest from Jurgen Klopp's Premier League giants.
The German manager is eager to add a midfielder to his ranks before the transfer window closes after being without without the injured Thiago Alcantara, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita and Curtis Jones.
